Code 6 home - external insulation and render system

The external render on the Code 6 home is an acrylic render that is designed for increased crack resistance and are self-coloured (therefore don’t need overpainting). They are weather resistant and usually supplied with fungicide as an ingredient, in order to delay the onset of algae growth.

The external insulation (Code 6 house) is comprised of 150mm expanded polystyrene (EPS with graphite) and thin coat render combine with the blocks to give a U-value of 0.15 W/m2K.
